20.04.2008. Montenegro under 17 failed to win gold or silver medal on Balkan championship in Igalo. Our boys made few mistakes in the finish of the game against Serbia letting the opponent win by big margin. Because of the goal difference, Montenegro finished the championship on third place.

20.04.2008. Montenegro under 17 won against Romania 11:4 and secured silver medal before the last day of Balkan championship. Reds played very well in this match, especially in the last quarter when they had 5:0 run.

18.04.2008. Montenegrin national team started the Balkan championship off with the win against Turkey 17:3. Reds opened the match very good, with 3:0 lead at the end of first period. Saric, Latinovic and Nikola Markovic were brilliant.

18.04.2008. Everything is ready for the start of junior Balkan games - Montenegro 2008.
Competition will start tomorrow at 5:30pm, with the match between Bulgaria and Greece. Later that day Serbia will play Romania and, after the opening ceremony - Herceg Novi mayor Dejan Mandic will open the tournament - our team will play their first match against Turkey.

18th to 20th April. Beside Montenegro, under 17 national teams of

participate at European Championship for Juniors in Malta, from
8th-15th September.
Gold medal winners meet Kotor and Budva mayors
31.08.2007. Mayors of Kotor and Budva, Marija Catovic and Rajko Kuljaca, invited members of Montenegro Universiade team-players who play, or played for water polo teams from Kotor and Budva to a meeting, in order to honor them for winning gold medal in Bangkok.

26.08.2007. In very tough and even game, Montenegro under 18 managed to draw against Greece. Excellent defense and on-form goalkeeper Kralj wasn't enough to beat very strong team like Greece.
Despite two defeats and draw in this game, Montenegrin youth team certainly showed that they are at the same level as the strongest European teams are.

24.08.2007. Montenegrin Under 18 squad was defeated by Serbian youth team in 3rd round of Izmir International tournament - 7:3 (2:1, 1:0, 2:2, 2:0). Scorers for Montenegro were: Gopčević, Ivančević and Dončić.

24.08.2007 Montenegro youth national team (under 18) won in their second match in Izmir. Montenegro was far better then Turikish youth team, and fully deserved the win as they were in control of the match from the beginning. Final score was 10:5.

Montenegro under 18 team suffered defeat in the first game of International tournament in Izmir. In an even, very dynamic game, Russian players were lucky to win. Montenegro played without two important players - Čučković and Brguljan.
UNIVERSIADE: GOLD FOR MONTENEGRO

Golden medal winners landed on Podgorica airport around 21:15. Members of water polo federation as well as familly members and few hundred supporters were already there, waiting for them. On the way to their homes, players and coaching staff were saluted by citizens of Cetinje,and Cetinje mayor Milo Jankovic.

In final match, Montenegro will play againts Italy, who defeated Hungary in second semi-final.
