06.07.2008.Had Montenegro won in the 3rd round derby of European championship, it
would be absolutely deserved. But, due to some dubious decisions by
referees in the late stage of the match, Croatia won 7:6. This defeat
certainly won't discourage our team that has another big match ahead,

defeatiog Spain, our team defeated Greece in the second round of group"A". Winning goal was scored by Ivovic minute and a half before the
end, while Scepanovic saved the penalty little later. "Reds" will play
against Croatia today at 6pm.

05.07.2008.Greeks will surprise one of the favorites in group "A", that's what almost everybody thinks. "Reds" are cautious as well, even though they are a lot better team than Greece.

In the last period, Mladjan Janovic, Aleksandar Ivovic and Predrag Jokic scored goals that brought first win in the history for Montenegro on European championships. After Spain had two goals lead, they thought they will cruise to victory, but our team started to dictate tempo at that moment, and absolutely deserved the win.

29.06.2008.Untill the middle of fourth quarter, Montenegrins had lead, after that, Hungarians had extra player four consecutive times and a penalty, and thanks to that, defeated our team 11:9 in the second day of international tournament.

27.06.2008.Deafeating Greece 11:8 in the first match of international tournament in Sombathel, Hungary, Montenegrin national team wins first game after three consecutive defeats in Genoa and showed that better days are before us, and the form will be at the right level for the European Championship in Malaga.

Montenegro won in second match in Genoa, this time against the host
after penalty shootout. Result after regular time was 11:11, with
Paskovic equalising two seconds before the end. Goalkeeper Scepanovic
is a hero of this win, he saved two penalties. Nikola Janovic scored
the winning goal.

CAUTIOUSLY AGAINST ITALY
No doubt about that - Montenegro is facing tough test against tournament hosts. In case of win, semi final will be almost certain. Everyone in our team is optimist, but also very cautious. As Boris Zlokovic said, it is extremely hard to beat Italians at their home. Despite that, as well the fact that our team is still not in top form, it seems like they are on the way of reaching it.

16.08.2008.Montenegrin national team defeated Spain in the first match of Final Tournament of World League in Genoa. "Reds' were brilliant and won 15:7. Tomorrow is day off, and on Wendesday, Montenegro plays against Italy.

13.06.2008. Final tournament of World league in Genoa starts on Monday. First match for out team will be against Spain. Besides those two teams, Italy, USA and China are in group A. All the players agree that group is not easy, but they also agree that preparations in Kolasin and Budva are starting to give results. Emphasis was on physical shape and everyone believes that the strength of this team will be shown very soon, possibly already in Genoa.

Adriatic water polo league will start in September. Twelve clubs will compete: three Montenegrin clubs: Jadran CKB, Primorac and Budvanska rivijera, one club from Slovenia - Kopar, and eight Croatian clubs: Mladost, Jug, Jadran(Split), POSK, Mornar, Primorje, Sibenik, Medvescak.

30.05.2008. Tonight at 20:00, Montenegro will play against Greece in the first match of the second World league tournament, in Athens. Our team has to win at least one match to qualify for final tournament that takes place in Genoa. Despite the fact that four very important players (Nikola Janovic, Mladjan Janovic, Boris Zlokovic and Damjan Danilovic) will not play at this tournament, everyone in our team are confident that we can win at least one match. Hardest test will probably be tonight, against tournament hosts – Greece.

Montenegrin players were brilliant in the second match of World league tournament in Budva and defeated Greece heavily 14:6. Nikola Janovic was man of the match, scoring five goals, including the one in the last second of the match from far away.

Preparations in Kolasin delayed for one day
13.05.2008.Start of preparations in Kolasin is delayed for 15th of May, and on 14th of May, group of players that are not invited to Kolasin preparations will start to train in Kotor and Herceg Novi.

From 14th to 18th of May, in Kolasin, our national team will start preparations for number of competitions this summer. At the same time, in Herceg Novi and Kotor, group of players that were not invited to Kolasin, but are still in Porobic's plans, will train.

28.02.2008. Montenegro national team arrived in Beijing yesterday and the first impressions are positive. The only problems were time difference and exhausting trip. Despite that, coach Porobic believes that the players will adapt soon and they will get back in the rhytm soon. "Reds" will train with Chinese national team until 5th March

25.02.2008. Two victorties and a loss is the final score of Athens tournament. Appart from great performance against Serbia and USA what encourages is great level of commitment and high concentration during the games, despite the fact that key players joined the rest of the team right before this tournament.

Canadians are right match
20.02.2008.Since yesterday, montenegrin and canadian national teams will train together in Budva. Decision to change the venue from Igalo to Budva came because the water in Igalo pool was cold. Despite that, the plan of training remains the same.

17.02.2008.After yesterday's exhausting trip from Germany, our players have day
off today. Tomorrow, they will start the second phase of the
preparations for Olympic games and European championship. They will
train together with Canadian national team in Igalo. On 22nd they will
be in Athens, participating on the prestigious tournament together
with Greece, Serbia and USA. After that, on 27th "reds" will be in
Beijing, training with Chinese national team.

15.02.2008.At the end of the first part of preparations for European championship
and Olympic games, Montenegro will have another friendly match against
their host, Germany, tonight. Our team will come back home tomorrow
and players will have two days off. Second phase of preparations will
start on Monday in Igalo.
Our team doesn't lack the motive
14.02.2008.13 players, chosen by Petar Porobic for this first part of preparations for Beijing and Malaga, are working very hard in Magdeburg, Germany. The host is doing everything possible to make our team feel at home. Players have all they need at the hand - in the morning they work out in the gym, later they work in the water. At evenings they train together with German team.

13.02.2008.Members of our team arrived at Magdeburg after a 150 km bus ride. They had the first training there last night, but not all players were able to come to these preparations. Few of our key players will join the rest of the team in Greece, on 22nd February. Despite that, coach Porobic is pleased with preparations so far

28.11.2007. Judging by tonight's match, montenegrin national team won't have any problems to qualify for European Championships in Malaga 2008. German national team was heavily defeated, 15:8. Already after first quarter period it was clear what will be the final outcome - clear and deserved win for Montenegro. Ivovic was top scorer with 5 goals, Uskokovic 3, Gojkovic and Danilovic scored 2 goals each.
Qualifying tournament for European Championship - Malaga 2008
25.12.2007. Between 26th and 30th December, as well as 2nd and 3rd January, Montenegrin national team will prepare for qualifying tournament for European Championship in Malaga. The tournament will be held in Dubrovnik (CRO) from 4th to 6th January 2008. Friendly game between Montenegro and Germany on Water Polo Night in Budva is part of preparations.
Following national teams will participate on the qualifying tournament, besides Montenegro: tournament host - Croatia, Slovenia and United Kingdom. Two teams will qualify for European Championship.

09.09.2007.Montenegrin players managed to beat Romania in a very dramatic game in the final of Bratislava qualifying tournament for Olympic games.
10.09.2007. Our players will return from Bratislava today, their plane will land on Ćilipi airport in Dubrovnik.
Montenegrin Olympic Committee arranged formal reception for the players and coaching staff which will take place in front of sports centre "Morača" in Podgorica at 20:00h. President of Montenegrin Olympic Committee, Dušan Simonović congratulated the players and head coach Porobić, as well as water polo federation.
