Golden players at airport, Podgorica

19.08.2007. Golden medal winners landed on Podgorica airport around 21:15. Members of water polo federation as well as familly members and few hundred supporters were already there, waiting for them. On the way to their homes, players and coaching staff were saluted by citizens of Cetinje,and Cetinje mayor Milo Jankovic

When we were preparing for the Universiade, we were all optimists, but i don't think we expected to win gold medal. Every single player gave his 100%, and it was clear that we are the best team there. Teams like Italy, Hungary, Spain, Serbia - main water polo forces in the world finished behind us. What makes this success even bigger is that all the players, except Milan Ticic, play in domestic competition.
Winning gold medal on Universiade is great success, but we won't stop here, this is jus the beginning. We will continue to work as hard and willdo everything to win lots of trophies and medals for Montenegro - said Zoran Ivanovski, head coach of youth team after landing on Podgorica airport
