Montenegrin national team started the Balkan championship off with the win against Turkey 17:3. Reds opened the match very good, with 3:0 lead at the end of first period. Saric, Latinovic and Nikola Markovic were brilliant. Turks managed to score two goals, and reduce the lead to 3:2, so it seemed that the match won't be easy for our boys after all. However, Montenegrins scored 6 consecutive goals and the result was 9:2 at the beginning of third quarter and it was obvious that Montenegro will come out as the winner of this match. Kandic and Ribac were in very good form for Montenegro, but the whole team was very responsible and aggressive - and that was a key to a win.
Today at 12am, our team will play against Bulgaria, while derby against Greece is at 19pm
In the opening ceremony, before the match, Herceg Novi mayor Dejan Mandic opened the championship.
