  • We were very good in defense and that was the key to victory. I wish to congratulate the boys, I am absolutely pleased with the way boys played – exactly the way we planned before the game – said Petar Porobic after the game – We managed to keep the high tempo when it was most important, in third period when neither team could score for 5 minutes. All of that was possible because of our strong defense.

Water polo and swimmnig federation's president Srdjan Kovacevic and vice-president Aleksandar Ticic congratulated the team on the performance and the result in this match
- This is only the beginning of what will, hopefully, be a very successful year that will officially start with the first World League tournament in Budva. Performance was encouraging, to win by 4 goals against the European champion is really something – said Ticic
