31.08.2007. Montenegro senior national team travels to Bratislava (Slovakia) today, to play on qualifying tournament for Olympic games in Beijing 2008. Here are the players that will represent Montenegro on this tournament:   Zdravko Radić, Miloš Šćepanović, Aleksandar Ivović, Predrag Jokić, Filip Trajković, Veljko Uskoković, Damjan Danilović, Vladimir Gojković, Nikola i Mlađan Janović, Milan Tičić, Draško Brguljan, Boris Zloković i Vjekoslav Pasković.
Our tema prepared for this competition the whole summer:
-”I think that this team is, now, after three months, finally getting its shape. We are in an optimal form, but there is still a lot of work to do, to make this team what we all want it to be, and what it can be. Did we do good job so far, we will see on this tournament where we will play some really tough games against serious opponents. We trained together with Italy last days and it's obvious that they are in better form then they were in during the World League tournament. They are experienced team that plays together for a long time – that is advantage they have. We don't have that as we are new team, with players who know each other, but haven't actually played together much” said Petar Porobic, Montenegrin head coach.
Bratislava tournament will start on the 2nd of September and finishes on 9th of September. Our team is in group “B” together with Italy, Greece, Germany, Netherlands and Slovenia. Winner of this tournament goes to Olympic games, while other three semi-finalists will have another chance in Romania, in March if 2008.
